Shakey’s, a popular pizza parlor in the Philippines, has opened its fifth branch in Dubai, this time in Satwa,  rolling out all-time favourites, among them a wide selection of pizzas like the ever-popular Belly Buster, as well as chicken, mojos and pastas that most Filipinos grew up with back home.

“We’d like to invite all our kababayans (fellow Filipinos) here in Satwa to come visit us,” said Lala Leyson, restaurant operations manager.

Souvenir items like Pepsi t-shirts and drinking glass will be given to customers, Leyson said. “Cake slices will also be available for free,” she added.

Those present on opening day last Saturday, December 17, were treated to free pizzas, pastas and chicken ‘n mojos, Leyson said.

Shakey’s Satwa, which can seat up to 40 customers, accepts orders for deliveries through Talabat, Careem, Noon and EatEasy. Vouchers from Groupon, Cobone and YallaBanana are also accepted, Leyson said. Also on the menu are local flavours like Chicken Tikka and Curry Pizza.

Shakey’s Satwa is located in restaurant no. 08 on the ground floor of the Al Hudaiba Mall on Al Mina Road, near Nesto Supermarket and Mercure Hotel.

It was the fifth Shakey’s Pizza Parlor to open in Dubai so far – the first being the one across from Burjuman on Bank Street, which was inaugurated in 2018. Other branches are in the Sahara Mall Food Court in Sharjah, one in Al Barsha and another one in the Ibn Battuta Metro Link.

 Satwa is a popular Filipino enclave.
