Kusina Natin ‘to located on Al Hudaiba Rd. in Al Satwa has come up with a bestseller called “Mixed Kusina Bilao.”

For AED99, the bilao deal is fit for four people and comes with an array of home-favorite comfort food – grilled milkfish, grilled isaw (chicken intestine), grilled squid, fried chicken, chicken spring roll, calamares, boiled gumbo, fried aubergine, mixed fried noodles and cucumber salad with anchovies. It also comes with unli steamed rice.

“Bilao” is Filipino for a flat, circular, woven basket originally used for winnowing rice to remove the chaff. Over time, it has become to be used for another function – that of placing all the food together for people to get from when dining together.

Eating from a bilao is a great way to enjoy food and is fast gaining popularity among Dubai visitors.  

Mark Anthony Dela Cruz, Kusina restaurant manager, said their “Mixed Kusina Bilao” is among sought-after items on the menu.

“It’s a top seller,” he tells Food Trip Magazine.
