I recently dined at an Arabic-themed restaurant in Abu Dhabi called Mama’s Grill Restaurant & Cafe. The atmosphere was cosy with a feel-at-home ambiance. The decor speaks of royalty, with traditional Middle Eastern lanterns and fabrics adorning walls. It was a pleasurable dining experience, I have to say, it was an absolute delight!
The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and well-versed about their dishes – a wide variety of Arabic cuisine and western delicacies. As to their bestseller, the Lebanese mixed grill was top on the list. I did not hesitate to try it. The meat was tender and perfectly spiced, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. It did not disappoint me.
One of the highlights of the meal was the hummus, which was rich and creamy, served with garlic sauce that was so clearly white and flavourful. The freshly baked bread served with the mix grill was also tasty, warm and fluffy with a crispy crust.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started off with a selection of mezze, including hummus, baba ghanoush, and falafel, which were all freshly made and bursting with flavour. My dining companion had the chicken kebabs, which were equally delicious.
While enjoying the food, the video karaoke was inviting me to grab a microphone to give a try for my hidden talent. It added a great catch for music lovers to express not just their craving for food but so as to music.
Overall, it was a truly enjoyable dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Mama’s Grill and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Arabic cuisine in Abu Dhabi.
The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous, making it a great value for the money. I can’t wait to go back and try some more dishes from the menu.
