Warner Bros. Discovery’s largest Arabic food network, Fatafeat, is set to give culinary enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in its region-wide cooking competition, Star Chef.
Following its debut and a successful first season in 2011, which received more than 4,500 entries, Fatafeat will be rebooting the famous show Star Chef, with self-nominations for participation starting from 1 August.
Aspiring chefs from all over the Middle East will have the opportunity to submit their video entries across social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) using #FatafeatStarChef for a chance to partake in the cooking competition. Participants must upload their videos in Arabic and ensure their profiles are public.
The competition will have several phases where participants will go through a gamut of challenges ranging from cooking specific recipes to filming in the Fatafeat studio to competing one-on-one with other participants to showcase their culinary skills. The competitions will be judged by the channel’s jury and celebrity chefs Mohammad Orfali and Tarek Ibrahim, the official faces of Star Chef 2022.

Fatafeat’s viewers will be able to watch every phase of the competition on the food network’s social media pages and later on its TV channel as well. via special episodes dedicated to the project starting August until the end of the year when the new star chef will be crowned.
Those who wish to participate in the Star Chef competition can submit a video entry in Arabic preparing a Fatafeat-inspired recipe or their specialty, starting 1 August. The top eight contestants from the entries will be announced on 4 September.
