Taste Festivals has announced its much-anticipated return to the UAE with ‘Taste of Dubai’, as brand-new organisers – MENA Live Events – are set to relaunch the premier gastronomic festival series at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from 3 February to 5 February 2023.

The festival will bring together an expected 15,000 foodies, friends and families to enjoy three days of culinary festivity and live entertainment.

‘Taste of Dubai’ will showcase 15 of the very best restaurants in the region, world-famous chefs from all over the globe, as well some of the hottest up-and-coming culinary talents.

Each restaurant will feature a menu of three dishes, served in taster-size portions, so that festival visitors can create their own tasting menu from their favourite restaurants in the line-up.

Live entertainment from the UAE’s best bands and DJs will further add to three-days of festival vibes – from chilled acoustic performances to lively DJ sets taking place across multiple areas of the festival, the crowds will be dancing from day to night.

For those looking for a more exclusive experience, the Taste VIP Lounge will add extra flare and style to the weekend, while the Kids Village will keep the little one’s entertained.

Those looking for retail-therapy will enjoy the very best of food, drink and lifestyle items from artisan producers and small local producers.

Visitors looking for an interactive experience can learn from their favourite celebrity chefs at Taste’s first ever barbeque school, as well as pasta, coffee and mixology masterclasses, and food styling and photography workshops.

The announcement comes at an exciting time for gastronomy in the emirate, with the Michelin Guide having recently launched in Dubai. The Michelin Guide Dubai celebrated 69 restaurants including 44 Michelin-selected restaurants, 14 Bib Gourmand restaurants and 11 restaurants awarded with Michelin Stars.

While the restaurant line up is yet to be announced, visitors can expect to see some of these Michelin recognized restaurants present at Taste of Dubai.

MENA Live Events will work with Taste Festivals owner IMG and take inspiration from the hugely successful Taste of London, Paris and Sao Paolo events to reimagine ‘Taste of Dubai’ with the region’s latest and greatest restaurants and chefs, immersive masterclasses and a new look and feel.

“We’re delighted to be working with IMG to re-launch Taste Festivals in the UAE. We plan to take the event to new levels, while also bringing back all the things Dubai knows and loves about Taste – delicious food and drink, and an enjoyable festival vibe,” said Anju Chadda, Event Director & Co Founder from MENA Live Events.

“The UAE boasts one of the most exciting, cosmopolitan culinary landscapes in the world and at Taste of Dubai, visitors of all ages and nationalities can expect to meet the region’s most exciting chefs and eat from truly world-class restaurants, while enjoying live entertainment, masterclasses, high-end retailers, fabulous music and more,” She added.

Organisers encourage foodies and event-lovers to sign up for the Taste newsletter and follow the Taste Facebook and Instagram accounts to be the first to hear about exciting chef, restaurant, and entertainment announcements, as well as when tickets go on sale.
